Problems happen with just about every computer out there, does not matter how old or what kind, things go wrong.  At the first sign of problems, hit save and reboot.  It sounds rather patronizing when an IT tech asks you "did you reboot?"  but it really is the first step to troubleshooting.

Computers are systematic machines that operate based on specific messages, directions, and controls.  We load many programs and use multiple ones and add patches and updates regularly to those programs. It is inevitable that a line of code can get clogged here and there.  Rebooting cleans the slate and can remove the buggy line from the system.

My computer isn't as fast as it was when I bought it. What should I do?

Computers get used heavily today.  They get exposed to many environments on the web and accumulate millions of code bits in the form of files and data.  Over time the hard drive gets disorganized and it gets harder to find where the actual files you want amongst all the files you only used once.  That is when it is time to "spring clean" and get organized so you can be more efficient.

The first thing to do is to run a defrag.  Defragmentation is a process in while all the files are inventoried, analyzed, and organized in their file cabinets.  Depending on how heavy a user you are is how often you should run a defrag.  For some it's every few months and others it is every week.  Nonetheless, do it regularly.

Spyware and Viruses and Hackers... Oh My!
Antivirus and spyware clean up                                                           CONTACT SUPPORT NOW

We do so much on the internet today, it is almost impossible to not end up getting some form of spyware or virus or at the worst leaving our computer open to a hacker attack.  If you expose your computer to the internet at all (try finding one that does not today), then you have to use an antivirus program to protect your computer and data from vulnerability.

Whether you buy one or use a free version, remember to make sure you are getting the updates regularly from the vendor.  Hackers and criminals are some of the hardest working computer geeks.  In order to stay on top of the new attacks, you need to stay protected by having all of the latest versions included in your antivirus..
